Almost continuously, a number of works from our special collections are 'out of the house': musea gladly exhibit works on loan from the UL Groningen for an exhibition. At this moment, books from our collections can be seen in the following exhibitions:

  • the Groninger Museum, '500 jaar Reformatie in Groningen'
  • the Noordelijk Scheepvaartmuseum, 'Kerstvloed 1717'
  • Museum Martena, Franeker, 'Jan Janszoon de Stomme. Terug in Franeker' - books about deafness and sign language (because this painter was deaf)
  • Museum Catharijneconvent, Utrecht, 'Magische miniaturen. Zuid-Nederlandse miniatuurkunst uit Nederlands bezit'
On this exhibition, our manuscript Maerlant manuscript (HS 405) is shown, open at the image of the Siege of Jerusalem.

Just returned from the big Luther exhibition in the Catharijne convent Utrecht: our Luther Bible.
