Groningen pop bands in the University Library City centre

The library as a location for Grunnsonic

From 17 through 20 January, the whole city of Groningen resonates with the sounds of Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS). Bands from all over the world perform in more than thirty venues in the city centre; that Saturday, Noorderslag presents a showcase of Dutch pop music in De Oosterpoort.

In the margin of this festival, there is also Grunnsonic: live music all over town from talented local acts.
And the University Library City Centre is one of this year's locations!

    In the stairwell on the 3rd floor of the UL City Centre, there is a small exhibition on pop music in Groningen. Books from our collection are on exhibit, but also record sleeves, photos and film clips!
