Language and Culture Policy of the University of Groningen
A Language and Culture Policy (LCP) was approved at the University of Groningen in 2014, in consultation with students and staff from throughout the organization. The Language Centre was closely involved in drafting and developing the policy, and will in the period 2014-2018 contribute substantially to the implementation of the policy by actively offering targeted support to faculties and service units, support staff, lecturers and students. This support will mainly be in the fields of language skills and intercultural competences. Please see the LCP website.
For more information about organizing and participating in English courses at the Language Centre as part of the Language and Culture Policy you can contact Annet Huisman (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The Language Centre can also fully develop a new course to your specifications, or we can adapt an existing course to your situation. On Demand or Tailor-made English courses can be given as one-to-one courses, for small groups or for entire organizations. They can be given in the form of presentations, short workshops, longer trainings or competence development trajectories. The workshops can also be offered as a set of tailor made workshops to suit specific needs regarding job functions and departments at our university of Groningen.
