NWO Funding call 2025 for thematic DCCs
The Dutch Research Council (NWO) has launched the 2025 funding call to support the digitalization ambitions of Thematic Digital Competence Centres (TDCCs) and the communities they serve. This presents an exciting opportunity for teams working on FAIR research data, research software, digital infrastructure, and digital competency development to secure funding for their projects or initiatives.

To apply for NWO funding, all project proposals must include a TDCC domain-specific submission letter. To obtain this letter, applicants must first go through a community selection and refinement process within each relevant TDCC. More details about this process can be found on the updated TDCC webpages.
Please note, that while the final NWO submission deadline is 20 November 2025, the process to obtain a TDCC submission letter begins much earlier (March/April 2025). Each TDCC follows its own procedures and timeline, so we strongly encourage you to review the details as soon as possible to ensure you meet all requirements.
Only projects that have successfully completed the TDCC selection process will receive a submission letter that is required to apply to NWO. Don't miss this opportunity—start preparing early and submit your idea to the TDCC’s to maximize your chances of success!
