Following the successful 2025 event, the Centre of Energy Business and Economics Research (CEnBER) of the UG’s Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and the University of Groningen Business School (UGBS) are pleased to announce the 2026 Energy and Climate Economics and Business Days on March 24-25, 2026, at the University of Groningen.

The conference starts on Tuesday afternoon, March 24, and ends on Wednesday evening, March 25. A conference dinner is planned for March 24. The academic conference will consist of a combination of parallel and plenary sessions (keynotes). In between and after academic sessions, there will be plenty of time for networking.

Keynotes

There will be two keynote lectures: one by Professor Richard Tol (University of Sussex, UK; Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam) on the social costs of carbon, and the other by Professor Derek Bunn (London Business School) on Resource Adequacy in Low-Carbon Electricity Markets.

Registration

The registration form for the conference will follow end of January 2026. The registration deadline for the conference is February 27, 2026.
