CEnBER and UGBS invite you to the 2026 Energy and Climate Economics and Business Days

Following the successful 2025 event, the Centre of Energy Business and Economics Research (CEnBER) of the UG’s Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and the University of Groningen Business School (UGBS) are pleased to announce the 2026 Energy and Climate Economics and Business Days on March 24-25, 2026, at the University of Groningen.

Call for abstracts and proposals

We invite submissions of extended abstracts (or full papers) of papers studying energy and climate in an economics or business context, broadly defined. Extended abstracts should have a word count of 500 or more. We encourage submissions from all methodological backgrounds (theoretical, empirical, applied, numerical, experimental and behavioral research). Authors at all levels of seniority are invited to submit. Submissions by PhD students and postdocs are especially welcomed.

We also encourage proposals for a panel discussion on energy and climate policy (in English or Dutch).

Deadlines

The deadline for submissions is January 12, 2026. Submitters will be notified of acceptance by end-January. The registration deadline for the conference is February 27, 2026.

The form to submit an abstract, proposal, or full paper will follow soon. The registration form for the conference will follow in January 2026.
