Background

Artificial intelligence (AI) has matured rapidly in recent years. AI is going to affect us all, on a personal level, in our daily work, and in society as a whole. Generative AI in particular is taking off.

In this course, we focus on the impact of generative AI on the work of the financial professional. This short training consists of an introduction to GenAI, and a hands-on part in which a participants will work out some concrete cases with ChatGPT.

Participants

You are a controller, financial manager or financial specialist, and your want to understand more about how using ChatGPT can help you in your daily work.

Teachers

Prof. Dr. Lineke Sneller RC is professor of digitization and AI in governance at the University of Groningen. She is also a supervisory director at EY, APG, Van Wijnen and Infomedics.

Dr. Sasan Mansouri is assistant professor of Digitalization and AI at the University of Groningen. He also has an aƯiliation with the IWH - Halle Institute for Economic Research.

Our lecturers have both theoretical baggage and practical experience with AI. They find it inspiring to cross-pollinate between theory and practice.

Practical information

The course Hands-on GenAI for Financials covers 1 course day. In the first part of the day the emphasis is on knowledge and insight, in the second part of the day you work on a concrete issue from the financial practice.

Acreditation

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of attendance from the University of Groningen Business School. For attending the course you will receive 6 PE points.

Registration

Admission Requirements

You are a graduate of at least college level or you have college work and thinking level. In addition, you are employed as a financial professional. The course is taught in English.
