Quality and Partners

To ensure up-to-date education, UGBS offers the Executive MBA - Energy Transition in cooperation with the New Energy Business School (NEBS). The programme is supported by an Advisory Board with senior representatives from the energy sector which supervise the creation and progress. UGBS is embedded in the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of the University of Groningen, which belongs to the 1% of business schools worldwide with both EQUIS and AACSB accreditations.

New Energy Business School is the world’s leading energy business school and your gateway to outstanding education combining solid theoretical grounding with high practical use. New Energy Business School offers a unique range of programmes that cover all parts of the energy value chain and all aspects of the great energy transition. The programmes are led by top academic researchers and senior industry experts and are fully up to date on the latest developments in the global energy sector.

NEBS has a limited role and no formal responsibility for the quality of the programme. The programme management, the programme committee and the board of examiners determine and safeguard the learning objectives, curriculum, teaching, assessment and quality assurance. Partners are not involved in programme design, assessment or decisions on quality.

Partners contribute by:

• Visibility: raising the programme's profile within their sector and network.
• Up-to-date curriculum: sharing developments in the field as advisory input. The programme decides whether to act on it.
• Guest speakers: providing speakers, who are selected by the programme and not involved in assessment.
• Locations: hosting company visits or meetings.
