Follow a free webinar during the Dutch Language Week
The Week van het Nederlands (Dutch Language Week) is from 2 to 9 October. To celebrate, the University of Groningen Language Centre will provide two free webinars on Tuesday 5 October. Will we see you there?

Webinar: Introduction to Dutch
- Date and time: Tuesday 5 October from 11 to 11.45 a.m.
- For whom: anyone who wants to learn Dutch!
During this webinar, Ronald Ohlsen, a Dutch teacher at the Language Centre, will give a lively introduction to the Dutch language. He will focus on the pronunciation of Dutch and you will learn some specific sounds, words, and sentences. You will also get to work on a language exercise yourself, and will be able to take part in a quiz. The webinar will end in an interactive manner, during which you most likely won't be able to sit still behind your screen!

Webinar: Refresher course in Spelling
- Date and time: Tuesday 5 October from 2 to 2.45 p.m.
- For whom: native speakers of Dutch
We all write a lot of emails, policy documents, theses, and much more. But, how do the spellings of verbs work again? You know, whether they end in -d or in -t? Is it ‘NOS-journaal’ or ‘NOS journaal’? Is it ‘o.a.’ or ‘oa.’? ‘Tweede Kamer’, ‘Tweede kamer’, or perhaps just ‘tweede kamer’? Is this causing you a headache? In this webinar, Ronald Ohlsen, a Dutch teacher at the Language Centre, will give you tips that you need to consequently write future texts without any errors.
