'My language is your language' charity concert

26 November 2018

The Language Centre is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. To end this jubilee year on a festive note, the Language Centre will be hosting the 'My language is your language' charity concert on 17 December!

The programme includes the New Life Choir, a choir of Syrian refugees who will be singing a selection of Syrian and Dutch songs. In addition, a trio composed of Setareh Nafisi (piano), Karoun Baghboudarian (cello) en Rani Elias (trumpet) will be playing music from the Middle East, and Berhane Ghebrehiwet Gebru will be reciting poems from Eritrea. Most of the performers are Language Centre students.

The entrance fee is € 10 (in cash please), or more if you like! The concert will benefit the Foundation for Refugee Students (UAF).

Join us for an engaging evening filled with music, language and culture!
