• There are lots of different sets available on Quizlet to help you take your first steps in a new language or to improve your current knowledge. Practise now with the following free sets or find your own:

• With the free language app Duolingo, you can learn a language through play.
• Netflix has many movies and series available in a wide range of languages. You can watch them in your target language. You can also add this Chrome extension that allows double subtitles, this makes studying languages even easier!
• Lingvist is a highly efficient app for learning French, Spanish, or Russian.
• Lingoclip combines language learning with music. You can listen to a song while paying close attention to its lyrics to train your listening, vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar.
• Do you want to work on verb conjugation? Or do you need some help with writing? The following sites can be very helpful:
  • WordReference.com and Verbix to find verb conjugations in any tense and mood.
• With Memrise, you join a language learning community of more than 280 million learners and 22 languages.
• Rosetta Stone is a proven method for learning languages by yourself. With this paid service, you can choose from 24 different languages.
• Online translation programmes are fast improving in quality, and our tips include LanguageTool, DeepLor Google Dictionary.

• Have a look at the complete selection of free online language courses at FutureLearn and learn English, Norwegian, Dutch, Frisian, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, and many more languages!
• Coursera also offers many online language courses, for example in Spanish, Russian, and Chinese.
• Edx offers free online courses in Chinese, English, Japanese, Spanish, and Italian.

German

• Slowly spoken news (intermediate level) & kids news (easier to understand for beginners level) – Read the news to practise your German, while also staying up to date on German events! 
• Easy German Podcast – It discusses topics from Germany, German vocabulary, and more. They also have a YouTube channel.

Italian

• Worldwall – Fun, interactive tools to practise your Italian!

Norwegian

• NRK Super – Children’s programmes with simple vocabulary and clear speech.
• Supernytt – (NRK Super news for children, "jeugdjournaal") – Short news items for young viewers.
• NRK Radio and podcasts – Radio programmes and podcasts about all sorts of subjects.
• NRK TV – Series, documentaries, and news with Norwegian subtitles.
• Klar Tale – Easy-to-read newspaper with short sentences and basic vocabulary. (A0 > A2).
• Lettnorsk.no – Short news articles in easy Norwegian, with word definitions. (A2 > B1)
• Lexin – Easy multilingual dictionary (word + translation + simple explanations). Very useful for beginners.
