GDCB and University of Hamburg in joined project
GDBC and the University of Hamburg have recently finished their project, for the second time in line. In this thesis groups, students from Groningen and Hamburg work on a research project in the area of digital marketing, with a focus on studying online customer behaviour, e.g. responses to various forms of digital advertising and price promotions, online product return behaviour, effectiveness of mobile advertising, and online browsing or search behaviour.
The exact topics were determined in the following months
together with Prof. Michel Clement from the University of Hamburg and Prof. Dr. Tammo Bijmolt from the University of Groningen, Faculty Economics and Business and director of the GDBC.
Again the projects were organized in close collaboration with companies like Wehkamp and Frank.nl by using their database, discussing the details on the project, and presenting the results.
The research approaches for each projects were quantitative in nature, comparable to the courses on market models, customer models, and data science; with details depending on the specific research questions and data availability.
