Op 16 december staat de uitreiking van de Vijfde GDBC Thesis Award gepland. Een vervolg op de bestaande Aart Bosman Prijs die al enige tijd wordt uitgereikt aan jonge onderzoekers op het gebied van digitaal en data analyse. De GDBC heeft in samenwerking met het Ubbo Emmius Fonds en de Jantina Tammes School van de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen het initiatief nieuw leven ingeblazen en omgedoopt tot de meer toepasselijke Digital Business Award, die nu voor de vijfde keer wordt uitgereikt.

De ingezonden papers (uit 2024/2025), allemaal gerelateerd aan digitaal ondernemen in de breedste zin van het woord en afkomstig uit diverse faculteiten van de universiteit, zijn vooraf beoordeeld door de jury (bestaande uit vertegenwoordigers van het bedrijfsleven en de RUG).

Drie jonge studenten zijn geselecteerd om aanstaande dinsdag 16 december hun scriptieonderwerpen en resultaten te presenteren in Martiniplaza. Na deze drie presentaties beslist de jury wie respectievelijk 500 euro (3e prijs), 1000 euro (2e prijs) en 2000 euro (1e prijs) ontvangt. Tijdens de beraadslaging van de jury zal Sasan Mansouri een presentatie geven over digital business in het algemeen en AI in het bijzonder.

Daarna volgt de prijsuitreiking, waarna een drankje en buffet wacht. Een bezoek aan de Europese basketball wedstrijd van Donar vormt het sluitstuk van het programma. We zien je graag langskomen als bezoeker en meld je hier aan!

The presentation of the Fifth GDBC Thesis Award Digital Business is scheduled for December 16. A follow-up to the existing Aart Bosman Prize that has been awarded to young researchers in the field of digital and data analytics for some time. The GDBC, in collaboration with the Ubbo Emmius Fund and the Jantina Tammes School of the University of Groningen has revived the initiative and renamed it the more appropriate Digital Business award, which is now being presented for the fifth time.

The submitted papers (from 2024/2025), all related to digital business in the broadest sense of the word, have been assessed in advance by the jury (consisting of business and University of Groningen representatives).

Three young students have been selected to present their thesis topics and results this Tuesday, December 16, in Martiniplaza. After these three presentations, the jury will decide who will receive 500 euros (3rd prize), 1000 euros (2nd prize) and 2000 euros (1st prize) respectively. During the time that the jury is deliberating, Sasan Mansouri, will present about digital business in general and AI in particular.
