Students can now also request for free abroad
If a publication - such as a journal article or a book - is not available at the Central Medical Library or the University Library, there is always the option of submitting a request to another library. This is free within the Netherlands, but until recently students had to pay to request abroad. That will now change. As a trial, the library will no longer pass on costs to students for requesting publications abroad until at least 1 September.
This is especially good news for all those medical students who are now doing a systematic review, for which they need a lot of journal articles!
Tip: Are you a student, but do you also have a UMCG account? Then use your UMCG login!
Some students have a UMCG account in addition to their student account. In that case, we recommend that you always use your UMCG account to login before submitting requests. Our service then extends a little further.
