Customer Insights Center (RUGCIC) What is CIC?

Are you unsure how to spend your marketing budget? Are you doing interesting research with customer data, but want to know if those models really work well? Or are you looking for talented students and graduates? Then the CIC is the right place for you.

The CIC brings together the marketing knowledge and expertise of students, researchers and companies. We use data science, best practices and scientific research to fully understand customers. Plus, in the process, you get access to our online knowledge base and to our in-house sessions, where invited members share knowledge at a company's on-site location.

Basic membership
For €7,500 ex. VAT annually your company will get:
Premium membership
For €15,000 euros ex. VAT annually, your company will get (on top of the benefits of the basic membership):
  • Access to our online knowledge data base with lectures, whitepapers, publications and podcasts on scientific insights for your organization (this is under development).
  • New Whitepapers with the latest customer insights.
  • Free admission for marketing, sales and customer service employees to our interactive in-house sessions at the offices of other companies that are CIC-members.
  • The opportunity to meet top graduate students who could potentially be interesting interns.
  • Access to the latest scientific publications of the Department of Marketing of the University of Groningen.
  • Access to various MARUG-activities and other events and conferences at reduced rates.
  • Up to 10% discount on employee costs when having a tailor-made scientific study carried out.
  • Display of your company name and/or logo on the RUGCIC website and in our reports.
  • An annual workshop for your marketing and/or sales employees on a Customer Insights theme of your choice, at your own location.
  • Up to 50% discount on employee costs when having a scientific research or tailor-made knowledge training carried out.
  • The opportunity, as a member of the Advisory Board, to actively think about research themes and programs that benefit premium members.
  • The opportunity to share entry-level job openings among all students of the MSc Marketing Analytics and Data Science and the MSc Marketing Management of the University of Groningen.
  • The opportunity to speak at our career day, where you will meet selected top students/potential new employees.
  • Once a year, students of Business Research & Consulting conduct research (which can be done more frequently at an additional cost)
