ChatGPT 4 for Data Analists

These sessions are intended for data analysts to get hands-on with data themselves. During these meetings, both theoretical and practical aspects of the topic are addressed. Subsequently, we will largely work with the data ourselves, so that you can make an impact in your organization with your analyses.

The arrival of ChatGPT and other generative AI models has changed a lot for many daily tasks. ChatGPT 3.5, which is available for free, is a language model that is generally capable of generating a (logically seeming) text. It can also assist in writing and translating code for, for example, Python and R. However, this language model struggles a lot with calculations and data analysis.

The more recent, paid version, ChatGPT 4, has many additions to ChatGPT 3.5. For example, it is capable of interpreting graphs and data. It's possible, among other things, to upload a graph and ask ChatGPT 4 to improve, interpret, and summarize it. It is also possible to upload a dataset and have ChatGPT summarize it, generate graphs, and estimate and validate complex models.

This data analyst session will zoom in on the (im)possibilities of ChatGPT 4 for data analysts. The consequences and what the data analyst of the future will look like will also be discussed. The (preliminary) agenda is:

Short reflection on ChatGPT 3.5

  • How it works
  • Assistance with coding in Python and R
  • Help with model and output interpretation
  • ChatGPT 4 for data analysts

Difference with ChatGPT 3.5

  • Advanced help with model and output interpretation
  • Loading data
  • Describing data, generating graphs
  • Estimating and validating models
  • The future for data analysts

The session will take place on June 11 from 14:00 to 16:00 (with a short break in the middle).

Target audience: everyone with knowledge and experience in data analysis (beginner to advanced) who is not or only slightly familiar with the possibilities of ChatGPT 4 for data analysis. Knowledge of ChatGPT 3.5 is a plus, but certainly not necessary.
