Pubmed during the shutdown

You may have seen the warning when opening PubMed.

It's good to know that PubMed will largely continue to function, as most processes are automated.
New articles from biomedical journals included in PubMed will be automatically added, and MeSH terms will remain available. Search strategies will also remain reproducible.

Some tasks, such as the assessment and inclusion of entirely new journals (journals with a first volume and issue), are currently on hold. This may ultimately impact innovation, as well as PubMed maintenance and quality control. We are monitoring the situation and will inform you if the advice regarding PubMed use changes.

For a complete overview of biomedical literature, it remains advisable to use multiple databases, such as Embase.
