October 18 Aletta Dive

Join the discussion on the potential of technology for vulnerable populations, from social robots to digital literacy and social impact, at the Aletta Dive ‘Stronger together: Technology as an ally for a healthier life for vulnerable individuals’ on Friday 18 October from 10 am - 4 pm. Host for the day will be Jetse Goris. The working language will be a mix of Dutch and English.

From the collaborating partners within the Aletta Jacobs School of Public Health and the North Netherlands region, we will focus on practice-based applications of digital care to promote healthy living for vulnerable groups. This time in close cooperation with the Jantina Tammes School of Digital Society, Technology and AI.

In the Dive, we will investigate what does and does not work in practice and how to bring this knowledge together. Collaboration between knowledge institutions, but especially between policymakers and care staff, is needed to arrive at feasible practical solutions.

Get inspired for the upcoming Aletta Dive with our two latest podcast episodes !

During the day, inspiring speakers such as  Johan van der Meulen, Lieke Brons, Jenny van Doorn, Gloria Araiza Illan,  Simone Meertens, Job van ’t Veer, Lysbeth Jongbloed, Esther Metting, Madelon van Oostrom, Raffaela CarloniJana Holthower and Kay de Lange will share their insights and experiences on (social) robots, encouraging the use of digital tools, supporting healthcare professionals and design thinking for impact - the user journey, among others.

  • Professionals committed to healthier lives for vulnerable populations

  • Researchers developing innovative technology solutions

  • Policy makers shaping policy and regulation around healthcare technology

  • Companies offering technology products and services

  • Civil society organisations supporting vulnerable groups

  • End users and representatives of target groups
