Order a NEN standard
Looking for a NEN standard? You can request standards via de Medische Bibliotheek.
Conditions
To order NEN standards NEN standards via the Medical Library:

you have to be a UMCG employee, and
-
the standard must be widely applicable within the UMCG.
Due to limited license capacity, each request is assessed to determine whether it can be accommodated within the license.
If your request is not granted, you may consider purchasing it yourself using a personal or departmental budget. For questions or advice regarding alternatives, please contact the Medical Library.
Consult or request a NEN standard
You can find all NEN standards on the NEN website; logging in is not required. The full text of a standard is only available if:

the standard is freely accessible, or
-
the standard is covered by a license.
Standards covered by the UMCG license can be accessed via NEN Connect. You can also request a new standard via this platform.

Select UMC Groningen from the list

Log in with your UMCG account.

You will now see a combined NEN and UMCG logo at top of your screen.
Order a NEN standard
If you find a standard via NEN Connect that is not included in the collection (there's no PDF attached):

Click on the grey PDF icon

Click on the green 'Request standard' button:
3. Enter your information.
The aim is that you have access to the standard within 24 hours. You will receive an e-mail as soon as the standard is available.
Note: NEN-standards are protected by copyright!
The standards - both printed and digital - are protected by copyright. Therefore, you may only share standards provided by the Medical Library with UMCG colleagues. Standards you purchase yourself are intended for personal use only. However, you are permitted to exchange quotes from a NEN standard with third parties.
