Pure and Research Intelligence Services (RISe)

The Research Intelligence Services (RISe) provides research impact studies at the research group, department, faculty or institutional level. SciVal and Altmetric are the two main tools available for the analysis:

SciVal is a citation benchmarking tool that analyses and compares the publication and citation performance of individuals, groups, research areas, organisations, and countries.

Altmetric.com measures the attention given to research via social media networks, including likes, tweets, downloads, mentions and records within reference managers.

Pure is the primary source of data for SciVal and Altmetric. Therefore, keeping Pure as complete and correct as possible is essential for a reliable and high-quality analysis.

In particular, author IDs (ORCID, Scopus ID, ResearcherID) and unique publication identifiers (DOIs, WoS UT code, Scopus EID, ISBN, etc.) should be accurate and regularly updated.
