UB City Centre

The UB City Centre has the following facilities for people with disabilities:

  • There is a wheelchair-friendly entrance (in the Poststraat). Please ring the door so the reception desk can let you in. If you are a UG student/employee, you can activate your card at the reception desk. After activation, you can open the entrance door yourself
  • Doors to the study rooms can be opened with an activated UG card (activation at reception)
  • The wheelchair-friendly gate can be opened with an activated UG card (activation at reception)
  • Auditory indication of floor number through a speech chip in the elevators.
  • Visual indication of floor number inside and outside the elevators.
  • Braille indication of floor number beside the control buttons inside the elevators.
  • Tactile indication of floor number through a number of metal knobs corresponding with the current floor number at the end of the bannisters.
  • Accessible toilets on every floor. Note that these require a University card to open; the reception desk can activate your card for this
UB Zernike
  • Auditory indication of floor number through a speech chip in the elevators.
  • The self-service has a height-adjustable counter, for example for people who use a wheelchair.
