For whom? UMCG employees and students who want to get more out of Pubmed.

Almost everyone uses Pubmed to find biomedical articles. By using a number of tricks that Pubmed offers, you can search more effectively. You will learn the tips & tricks using examples and practice questions (PICOs).

In this workshop you will learn:

• choosing concepts for a search strategy based on a research question / PICO
• setting up a 'basic search'
• creating a search strategy with MeSH and free text words (in Word)
• dealing with limits / filters
• tips for saving references and search strategies / setting up e-mail alerts
