Community programme
In the bus you will find lifestyle checks, innovative products from SMEs and a community programme. While in 2018 the Healthy Living Room was present at major sporting events, such as the '4Mijl van Groningen’ (4 miles of Groningen), the Healthy Living Room is now moving further into the province.
This year, there is a stronger focus on promoting a healthy living environment in order to stimulate good habits. Various workshops in the community, together with scientists in the field of health geography and local authorities, will be used to compile a toolkit for community intervention. This toolkit is being developed together with the residents.

After a visit from the Healthy Living Room, you will not only know how healthy you are and what you can do to become and stay healthier. You also know how healthy your neighbourhood or village is and with which plans / actions the village or district can become a little healthier.

In 2018, the healthiest living room in the Netherlands was in Groningen during the Healthy Ageing Week in October. More than 350 residents participated in a lifestyle check. In the autumn of 2019, the Healthy Living Room will be on the road, by bus. Due to the success of the Healthy Living Room, HeaLIQs4Cities will be continued. HeaLIQs is a project of EIT Health that takes place both in Groningen and in Coimbra (Portugal).

HeaLIQs4Cities
HeaLIQs4Cities brings health education to the residents of the Northern Netherlands by stimulating interaction between them and the academic world, healthcare SMEs and the government.
The 'Healthy Living Room' is the place for a (free) lifestyle check, conversations about a (healthy) lifestyle and for inspiration to improve your health. Because the Healthy Living Room is mobile, residents of rural areas and suburbs of cities can be reached more easily.

Partners
The Healthy Living Room originated from the European EIT Health Project. This is a collaboration between Institutio Pedro Nunes, the UMCG, the Municipality of Groningen, University of Coimbra, University of Copenhagen, University of Groningen (RUG), Aletta Jacobs School of Public Health (AJSPH) and Healthy Aging Network Northern Netherlands (HANNN). The aim of the project was to bring residents into contact with ways to work on your health in an accessible way. Given the positive reactions, HANNN had decided to keep the Healthy Living Room on the road! Read more or book the Healthy Living Room?
