Arts in Health Netherlands
The mission of Arts in Health is to give creative art-making a permanent place in the care institutions of the Netherlands. Research shows that participation in the arts can support human wellbeing by shortening the recovery time of patients; preventing burnout in care staff; and promoting healthier lifestyles in the community.
● Work with hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and community centers, advising the development of sustainable arts in health programs in support of wellbeing.
● Develop arts in health education and training programs for university students and mid-career professionals.
● Facilitate arts in health research.
