Workshops

In the workshops, representatives from Menzis and UWV will discuss a real-life policy issue with us.

Menzis' pitch is about the personal health check, a validated instrument which allows people to check their health and gain advice on how to improve it. However, despite the fact that everything is in place to have many people do the check, and healthcare providers support this instrument, it is difficult to reach the target group.

UWV's pitch is about WIA incapacity benefits, for which people who suffer from a long-term disease (whose basic sickness benefit has stopped) can apply. Often, these people experience problems for which physicians cannot find a physical cause. The solution then may lie in behavioural support, but people are hesitant to engage in this. UWV would like to brainstorm about this with participants from different perspectives.

Two researchers will pitch their point of view about the presented issue from their field of expertise, after which participants will work on a proposal for a solution in multidisciplinary groups.

Seminars

During the seminars, you will hear three talks relating to the main topics, given by researchers of different disciplines. These seminars are chaired by the Aletta theme/method coordinators and will be followed by a short discussion.

Matchmaking lunch

Five informal discussion tables will be introduced during lunch time. Each table will be focused on a specific topic. These tables are meant to facilite the networking proces and to match researchers/professionals with same interests.
