In collaboration with Young ESHPM, Aletta's Talent Network is proud to host the first joint networking session for researchers from all disciplines who are interested in public health. This is a great opportunity for graduate students (MA and PhD) to meet and discuss ideas, projects, and opportunities with other young researchers by brainstorming about one of today’s most pressing issues: antibiotic resistance.

Given the multifaceted nature of the problem, we encourage researchers from all fields to apply!

Keynote lecture

Medical microbiologist Dr. Corinna Glasner: A brief history of antibiotic resistance - How can we survive this ‘tsunami’? (With a peek at SARS-CoV-2)

What are antibiotics? What is antibiotic resistance? And what have those to do with your and our lives, with our society - locally, nationally and internationally. And what has hand-washing, distance and coughing in your elbow have to do with all that? Corinna Glasner will take you on a brief tour through the history of those topics and gives some insights about possible answers to those questions.
