The potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics in healthcare is vast. Over the past few years, the number of robotic applications in healthcare has skyrocketed, with several supporting applications for doctors, nurses, caregivers and patients. As robots interact more with humans, the role of trust between humans and robots and of biases embedded in technology needs to be carefully examined. What are the opportunities and challenges?
