Summer opening hours

During the summer vacation the Special Collections department is open on workdays from 10:00 am - 13.00 pm. We can be reached by phone (+31) 050 36 35064/ (+31) 06 2785 1971 and/ or e-mail.

From Tuesday 1 September the Special Collections reading room will be open from 11 AM to 3 PM as well as by appointment.

In order to protect the physical condition of our materials there are some restrictions on their availability for use. They are not available to consult if the temperature in our reading room exceeds 24⁰C or the air humidity is below 40% or above 70%.

These restrictions apply to photographical materials, books consisting of parchment, parchments bindings and all manuscripts incl. maps. In other cases, too, access may be denied or its duration restricted at the discretion of our staff.
