How can open science practices be recognized and rewarded? Which challenges and opportunities do researchers at the University of Groningen face when practicing open research? What role does open science play in the humanities?

Join our online event on 28 October to celebrate the many ways in which academics make their research more accessible, transparent or reproducible.

The programme will feature

  • keynotes about Open Science in the Humanities by Marcel Knöchelmann (University College London) and Dr Natalie Harrower (Digital Repository of Ireland)
  • examples of research data management in the humanities at the University of Groningen presented by Dr Jorn Seubers (University of Groningen Digital Competence Centre)
  • lighting talks about inspiring UG/UMCG open research case studies by the three winners of the Open Research Award
  • a panel discussion about recognizing and rewarding open research practices with an introduction by Professor Cisca Wijmenga (Rector of the University of Groningen)
