The COVID-19 measures also brought major challenges for mainstream care. Even in hospitals, patients had to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters. Far fewer patients could wait in a waiting room for their appointment at the same time. This project investigated how the number of waiting patients could be reduced and how all processes could be designed so that as many regular appointments as possible could still be held.
