Aletta's Research Network

Aletta Jacobs School of Public Health (Aletta) is the collaborative partnership of the University of Groningen, Hanze University of Applied Sciences, and NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences. Together, we work toward a shared ambition: promoting a longer, healthier, and happier life for everyone in the Northern Netherlands and beyond.

The research network of the University of Groningen

The University of Groningen (UG) network focuses on fundamental and applied research in the field of health, behavior, and policy. Researchers from disciplines such as medicine, social sciences, economics, and spatial sciences work together on solutions to complex public health challenges.

The research network of Hanze University of Applied Sciences

The Hanze research network emphasizes practice-oriented research and innovation in care, vitality, and the living environment. Together with professionals, students, and regional partners, Hanze develops knowledge that directly contributes to a healthier society and sustainable healthcare.

The research network of NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences

The NHL Stenden network focuses on research that places the daily lives of citizens at the center. With a focus on participation, community strength, and lifestyle, it explores new ways to promote health—close to people and in collaboration with the professional field.

Stronger together for a healthy future

By connecting these three research networks, Aletta stimulates knowledge exchange, joint projects, and interdisciplinary collaboration. In this way, we work together on innovative solutions for today’s and tomorrow’s health challenges.
