Co-creation of an accessible and inclusive information video aboutthe lifestyle front office (LFO) for patients with limited healthliteracy.
The project aims to co-create an accessible and inclusive informational video about the Lifestyle Front Office (LFO) for patients with limited health literacy (HL). Previous research shows that patients with limited HL can be reached within hospital settings, engagement with the LFO remains challenging due to insufficiently accessible information. Written materials alone are often inadequate to support understanding and set appropriate expectations. Scientific research indicates that adjustments made to information materials can also benefit the understandability for individuals with adequate HL.
Through interviews and a co-creation workshop, patients with limited HL will actively contribute to the development of the video script and storyboard. A concept video will be created, tested with the target group, and refined based on their feedback. Patients will also be involved in determining effective dissemination strategies.
The video aims to improve patient understanding and engagement with the LFO, ultimately supporting better intake preparation and reducing health inequalities. Additionally, the project will provide practical insights into co-creation as a method for effective health communication, and the final video will be shared with other LFOs in the North Netherlands.
