Dutch healthcare is a reactive system; action is taken when someone's health falters. At the same time, it has been clear for decades that many diseases - and costs - can be saved with preventive measures. The current system is unsustainable in the long run. A change is needed, such that healthcare is not the starting point, but health care. So based on healthy aging. This is a large, complex assignment, in which collaboration between cross-domain networks is crucial. An assignment for which Hi!Noord, together with its partners, put their shoulders to the wheel with great conviction and energy.
