Aletta’s Researchers Day
When: | Fr 04-04-2025 09:00 - 13:30 |
Where: | House of Connections |

Starting in 2025, the Aletta Jacobs School of Public Health (AJSPH) is shifting its focus to a thematic approach. We believe—in line with Goethe's saying "In der Beschränkung zeigt sich erst der Meister"—that by concentrating on specific themes rather than trying to cover everything at once, we can increase our impact on society and achieve our mission.
We cordially invite all researchers to actively contribute to establishing one (or more) of the five Aletta themes:
What are we going to do?
While the themes are familiar, your voice and enthusiasm are key to giving them direction. During this interactive meeting, we ask you to:
-
Join us in giving substance to the five themes.
-
Identify the preconditions for success and consider how AJSPH can support them (e.g., through assistance with writing grant applications, connecting with community partners, citizens, governments, and generating media attention).
-
Share your interests and desired level of involvement in these topics.
By the end of the meeting, we will have developed recommendations—through parallel sessions for each theme—to energize our theme-based work.
Why should you not miss this meeting?
-
Through these themes you increase your chances of funding, impact and visibility
-
Your input determines how these themes take concrete shape
-
You help determine the preconditions for success (support in people and resources)
-
You can express your interest in a place in the theme teams
The language of communication is English.
Organised together with the YAG and ATN.
