Aletta Cafe - 17 May 2022

Wanneer:di 17-05-2022 15:30 - 17:00
Waar:Buurthuis Poortershoes, Oosterweg 13, 9724 CA Groningen

Join us at the Aletta cafe! On 17th of May, at Buurthuis Poortershoes, we will get together to meet each other and to look at the challenges of designing public health policies across different domains. In the world cafe, we focus on the housing crisis and problematic debt.

Luc Hagenaars (Postdoctoral Researcher Integrated Health Policy Analysis, previously Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport) and Carlos Bruen (Assistant Professor Health Policy & Management at Trinity College Dublin), will first set the scene by sketching current challenges in relation to the housing and problematic debt crises in the Netherlands and Ireland and how these impact health.

We then invite you to participate in the discussion on how to revisit the policy cycle to address social determinants of health inequalities with a view to design effective, integrated health policies.

The Aletta Cafe is intended for students and researchers interested in public health to get to know each other, discuss current public health topics, and meet and mingle while enjoying a drink.

Get to know your fellow Alettas and join us at the meeting! There will be drinks and snacks, and lots of likeminded people! A great way to expand your network!
