Membrane Proteins
Membrane proteins are studied using dedicated proteomics tools complemented with biophysical chemistry with a focus on the enzymology and assembly of bacterial transporters, nuclear pores, and larger protein complexes in photosynthesis. The aim is to elucidate the molecular mechanisms, emphasizing on the energetics, the translocation mechanisms, membrane protein assembly and insertion, and the structural analysis of the individual proteins involved.
