Science at CogniGron featured in Sabine Hossenfelder video

We are happy to share that the paper titled "Spontaneous formation and optical manipulation of a woven domain fabric in a ferroelectric crystal", written by CogniGron PI Prof. Beatriz Noheda in collaboration with Feifei Xin and Eugenio Del Re was featured in a video from science communicator Sabine Hossenfelder. In this paper, researchers have discovered a new type of matter. Inside a cooled crystal, structures spontaneously arranged themselves into a three dimensional weave, and they did it at around room temperature. The researchers can even rewrite parts of the pattern with a laser. In her video, Sabine explains the outcomes of the research in an easy, engaging way and examines the implications of this new discovery.
