New: all journals of Amsterdam University Press
The University of Groningen Library has acquired a new (Surf) license for 3 years on all journals of Amsterdam University Press.
Some of the journals have been made open access through the Subscribe to Open (S2O) OA model. AUP has committed to 'flip' at least one journal to open access every year.
The AUP journals that are already open access:
- DNK Documentatieblad voor de Nederlandse kerkgeschiedenis na 1800
- Pedagogiek
- Tijdschrift voor Geschiedenis
- Tijdschrift voor Taalbeheersing
- Trajecta. Religion Culture and Society in the Low Countries
S2O
S2O is a model that assumes the existing subscription model; subscriptions are converted into OA support memberships that cover costs.
Authors do not pay an Article Processing Charge (APC), (of course they didn't before). It's a fairly simple and scalable transition, not requiring a completely different workflow, it can be looked at on a journal by journal basis.
