Biography:
Aldert Polman (Groningen, October 11, 1934 – Groningen, October 18, 2017) attended the Willem Lodewijk Gymnasium in Groningen. After obtaining his diploma, he was eager to start working and joined the University Library, initially in the economics library. From 1960 to 1989, he served as Head of the Lending Office. Due to the many changes in library work, he changed roles and became Head of the General Study Hall and subject specialist in General and Multidisciplinary Sciences and Book Sciences. In 1997, he retired from the University Library.
