Groningen Digital Business Centre The 4 pillars of the GDBC

Objectives of the GDBC

The Groningen Digital Business Centre (GDBC) is a new knowledge centre that focuses on developing, sharing and transferring knowledge in the field of digital business and analytics. It is a place where innovation and research on digital entrepreneurship is stimulated. Science and business come together at the GDBC to develop and exchange knowledge. The GDBC can thus be regarded as Groningen’s scientific, digital breeding ground where professionals are trained and prepared for a career in the digital sector.

The Centre was founded by the Faculty of Economics and Business and the Faculty of Science and Engineering of the University of Groningen in collaboration with the NOO (Noordelijke Online Ondernemers, Northern Netherlands Online Entrepreneurs). This unique partnership aims to achieve structural strengthening of the digital sector in the Northern Netherlands. The GDBC is supported by the SNN (Samenwerkingsverband Noord-Nederland, Northern Netherlands Provinces Alliance).

Together we will focus on developing, sharing and transferring knowledge in the field of digital entrepreneurship.
