Barteld Kooi has been appointed professor of Logic and the Theory of Argumentation per 1 November 2011. The Board of the University has taken over the Nomination Committee's proposal to appoint Kooi at this by now historical chair. His predecessors on this chair have been prof. em. Erik Krabbe and prof. Jeanne Peijnenburg.
