About us FEB Education Student Support Desk Frequently asked questions (Prospective) International Students / FEB Admission and Requirements

How to apply

  • What is the deadline for application for a study programme at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Groningen.

  • What if I submit my application after the deadline because of troubles with the system?

In general, we cannot consider late applications. Not only do we have an early deadline for non-EU applicants due to the lengthy visa procedure (please refer to the concerning question), we also have an internal deadline concerning the registration of new students with our university.Only in exceptional circumstances will we consider applications that were submitted too late.

Since 2018 it is possible to apply for an after-deadline application via this link: https://www.rug.nl/education/contact/information-services/registration-and-payment-after-start-date-programme. The application will first go to the CSA, after that the Faculty needs to decide if the student can start with his/her program.

    Ask your question

  • I will take the IELTS/TOEFL test after the application deadline, can I still apply?

  • What if I do not have a Bachelor’s degree before the application deadline?

In general, you can start your application procedure while in the final phase of your programme. If it’s impossible for you to send us your final and certified copies of transcripts and degree, please send us your temporary certified copies of transcripts and a statement from your University about the diploma you are expected to receive and when. Dutch law requires that you have graduated before September 1st if you want to start at the beginning of the academic year.
