#Detroit Music City: Analyzing Detroit’s Musical Urban Imaginary Through a Cultural Justice Lens, written by Leonieke Bolderman (Department of Cultural Geography, Faculty of Spatial Sciences).
Leonieke analyzes how murals can become symbols of both heritage and divisive gentrification in the context of the contemporary media city. On our Open Science Blog, she gives her take on open access publishing and the Aletta Jacobs mural.

About Open Access in the Spotlight
The initiative wishes to emphasize the relevance of open access publishing for the visibility of research and to acknowledge open science best practices at the same time. Authors are given the opportunity to speak about their motives to publish open access and their experience with it. Publications from all UG faculties will be included.
