Reminder: discontinuation RefWorks December 2025

From 1 January 2026, RefWorks will no longer be available for the UG and UMCG. 

Are you still using RefWorks? Then switch to our other reference managers, EndNote or Zotero.

EndNote can be used via your UWP under Library Services or downloaded via the UG software portal. You may also use EndNote online.

Have you not yet transferred your references? Please do so before 31 December.

Can I use Zotero as an alternative?

Yes, that is possible. Zotero is an excellent, freely accessible and open source alternative for bibliographic management. The free version of Zotero offers 300 MB of online storage; by saving downloaded articles and other full-text files locally, you can use this space efficiently and retain access to your references.
