Ebook Central

The library has a license on the Ebook Central Literature & Language Collection.
This package contains more than 33,000 e-books which are accessible for an unlimited number of simultaneous users ("unlimited user").
We also have access to more than 7,000 individually purchased titles. These e-books are in some cases only accessible for one or three users simultaneously ("limited user").

To access Ebook Central you need to login with your p- or s-number and UG password on the proxy screen.

Books can be read online. Downloading or printing of chapters is possible with a limited number of pages per title.

Offline reading (= digital borrowing) on a (mobile) device is only possible with the use of the Ebook Central app, provided your device meets certain technical specifications. If the app can be used on your device, please read the instructions on how to install and use the app.

This reader app will also be available in the UG-menu shortly.

Please be aware that the app can not be installed on e-readers.

EBSCO eBooks

The library has a license on the EBSCO eBook Academic Collection, a multi-disciplinary package with over 250,000 e-books. This set contains e-books accessible for an unlimited number of simultaneous users ("unlimited user").

Besides our subscription to the Academic Collection, the library has access to separately purchased titles.

EBSCO e-books can be read online and they are searchable in SmartCat and in EBSCOhost. For downloading or printing parts of the e-books you have to register for a personal EBSCO account.

Downloading the full e-book (digital lending) to a mobile device is possible by downloading and installing the free Thorium reader app from: https://thorium.edrlab.org/en/
