Downloading e-books for offline reading (= "digital borrowing")

Because of European privacy law the use of Adobe Digital Editions for offline reading (digital borrowing) of DRM-protected e-books is no longer allowed.

The DRM e-books providers, Ebook Central en EBSCO, are developing their own apps for offline use of their e-books.
The Ebook Central is now available, the EBSCO app will be in the spring of 2026.
