Do I have access to the UB during examination periods?
During examination periods, only University of Groningen students and staff have access to the UB.

Do I have access to the University Library when I am not a student or staff member of the University of Groningen?
Anyone has access to the University Library. Are you a University of Groningen student or employee, do you study at Hanzehogeschool, or do you have a library card? Then you can access the library with your student card, University of Groningen card or library card.* If you do not have a card, please report to the desk at the entrance.

Will I have access to literature when I am no longer a student or staff member of the University of Groningen?
Would you like to consult a publication in one of the study rooms? Please report to the Facility Desk on the ground floor to get access through the access gates.
Requesting a book from the closed stacks is only possible if you have a subscription, see Library & subscriptions.

I do not have my UG card yet/I lost my card, what can I do?
Are you new to the UG, and did not yet receive your UG card (student card)? Please contact SIA (Student Information & Administration) a.s.a.p.
Do you already have a card, but did you loose it or is it broken? In that case, you can request a new card yourself via MyRUGpass.
