Donations

Since the University Library was founded, individuals as well as organisations and business have enriched its collections through donations, bequests, permanent loans, and financial support. At the moment, we have limited possibilities for accepting new collections. We can only accept unique copies, that is to say: materials that are not present in any Dutch university library. Exceptions can be made for Special Collections items.

Tax benefits

The University of Groningen and the funds affiliated with the university—the Ubbo Emmius Fund (UEF), the Groningen University Fund (GUF), and the Nicolaas Mulerius Fund Foundation—are recognized as Public Benefit Organizations (ANBI). This means that certain tax benefits apply to donations, bequests, and legacies for both you (the donor) and us (the recipient). For more information, see: ANBI/tax benefits - UG.
