Update Endnote 21

06 December 2023

From December 7th, EndNote 21 will be available on the UMCG network and for use on a private computer. This update has some consequences for people who have their EndNote library saved on the “H-Drive” and those who use EndNote on a Microsoft Surface (“NextGen laptop”). For all others there should not be any difference, except for some new features in EndNote 21.

On the Microsoft Surface laptop, EndNote is now installed locally, so you don’t have to work with EndNote through toegang.umcg.nl anymore. This should make working with the program a lot easier. Because it is installed locally, you don’t have to use “EndNote for Word” anymore. If EndNote is not available locally for you, please contact the Central Medical Library via refman umcg.nl

If you have saved your EndNote library on the H-drive, please read the instructions on https://endnote.umcg.nl/ for the quickest and easiest way to move your library from the H-Drive to OneDrive.

If you have received EndNote 20 to use on your private computer, please contact us at refman umcg.nl if you want to upgrade to EndNote 21.
