At the Science Shop society and science are combined in several ways.
Research projects (and internships)
In the Netherlands a practical and effective bridge between science and the public has been devised in the form of Science Shops. The Science Shop of Economics and Business is an institute affiliated with the university of Groningen; it acts as an intermediary for research between the university and all kind of clients.
Internships are handled by the Career Office, an office with which the Science Shop cooperates.
We also carry out research by our self. Most of the research is carried out with the help of students. This is why we can keep the research costs low. The quality is guaranteed, since a staff member and a member of the Science Shop supervise the students during the research process.
