Step 1: Entry requirements

Before you apply to one of the four Bachelor's programme, please check below the entry requirements.

Previous education

In order to be eligible for admission to one of our bachelor's programmes, you will need one of the following diplomas:


Dutch VWO diploma

Mathematics is one of the important courses you need for all of our programmes. Your level of mathematics should be at VWO-level within the four VWO-profiles (please check Teaching and Examination Regulations).

Bachelor's programme

Mathematics A (or higher)
Mathematics B (or higher)

* The BSc International Business is a fixed quota programme (numerus fixus) accepting only 550 students. All students have to apply in Studielink before 15 January 2024 in order to enter the selection procedure.


HBO propaedeutic certificate

With an HBO propaedeutic certificate it is also possible to enter the programme, on the condition that you meet the required level of both mathematics and English language proficiency at Dutch VWO level.
If you do not have mathematics A or respectively mathematics B at Dutch VWO level (see above) you can take the mathematics entrance exam offered by the faculty.
At FEB we accept the following English language tests:

Important to know
  • Students with a propaedeutic certificate of an English-taught HBO programme, will be exempted from the English language requirement.

Accepted English tests and scores

IELTS

  • overall score 6.0
  • Speaking 6
  • Writing 5.5

TOEFL internet-based

  • Overall score 80
  • Speaking 20
  • Writing 20

Cambridge

  • C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency

The English language proficiency test scores (IELTS and TOEFL) cannot be older than 2 years. Please note that TOEFL MyBest Scores are not considered in the admission procedure.

*Any level equivalent to the tests mentioned above to be assessed by the Admissions Board.


No VWO diploma or HBO propaedeutic certificate

If you are Dutch and do not have a VWO diploma of HBO propaedeutic certificate and you are 21 years or older, you are eligible for admission via the colloquium doctum (universitary entrance exam). The Mathematics summer course and entrance exam is part of this colloquium doctum.


Matching

Matching is a procedure for students who want to apply for a Bachelor programme without a decentral selection procedure for the academic year 2024-2025. If you wish to apply for one of our Bachelor programmes, you need to do this no later than 1 May 2024 in Studielink. This deadline is a statutory requirement. When you have applied, you have the right to participate in a matching activity.

During a matching activity, you can find out whether the programme that you have chosen matches with what you want to study and do in the future. The matchng procedure is offered for BSc Bedrijfskunde, BSc Economics and Business Economics and BSc Econometrics and Operations Research. The BSc International Business has a selection procedure.
